Chemical Exfoliation
(TCA Peel)
Chemical peeling with TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) 20-30% is most commonly used for the effective treatment of discolorations such as freckles and skin regeneration. This technique is very safe and the most common type of regeneration through chemical exfoliation. It can be used in simple cases, in a small solution of 10-15%, to act without leaving redness and scales / crusts.
The Process in Brief
Before treating chemical exfoliation, it is important to make sure the skin is prepared. Patients are advised to start using certain whitening creams that contain appropriate active ingredients (including Retin A and Hydroquinone) 2-4 weeks before treatment. This will allow the skin to increase its healing power and reduce the changes in the cells that produce pigment in the skin. Patients usually notice a significant improvement in the skin before treatment but that continues for several weeks after.
The face will be cleansed in the doctor’s office and the special solution is applied to the face. In 1-2 minutes the solution is neutralized and a special soothing cream is applied.
The sessions last about 20-30 minutes and are repeated every 1-3 weeks depending on the intensity of application of the solution. Instructions are provided for daily skin care.
The impressive result, whitening, radiance, vitality and firmness of the facial skin becomes apparent from the very first session.
