Reduction of the vulva

Morphological differences of the labia minora can be a source of embarrassment or discomfort to many women of different ages. It can cause embarrassment or discomfort, and therefore affect the relationship with the partner. Although it is a common phenomenon after childbirth, it can also occur in women without children, as well as in younger women. The most common disorder is an elongated or drooping lip, but it can be seen on both sides.

It is very important to keep the lip area clean with regular washing, but patients should avoid soaps for the first week. The stitches are absorbable and therefore will fall off on their own.

Medicines

A complete medical history should be taken before any surgery. As a precautionary measure, no homeopathic or herbal medicine should be taken 7-10 days before surgery or for 3 days after. Also avoid aspirin and anti-inflammatory tablets. A list of prescription drugs for your preoperative assessment would be helpful.

Possible complications

Complications are rare. However, there are always small risks, as with any surgery. These include the risk of bleeding, infection, deformed scars, discomfort or discomfort.
