Rhinoplasty (Nose Plastic)

    Rhinoplasty (Nose Plastic)
The Rhinoplasty (plastic tip) is the operation that fixes the nose shape irregularities. The Functional Rhinoplasty (Nose Plastic) corrects abnormalities of the inner nose, impeding nasal breathing. Many patients think that their nose is not ideal, because it has a small or large hump. Others find that their noses are long or large or thick. Also the nose may be crooked from an old blow or it may be crooked inside and not allow breathing. In the latter case, headaches, frequent rhinitis or severe snoring may coexist.

    The operation briefly

The Rhinoplasty (plastic tip) is usually carried out internally, i.e. in sections inside the nose. Each time the operation differs depending on the problem. I usually do not perform fractures on the nasal bones, but even when fractures are still needed, the operation is painless. Depending on the nasal difficulty (weakness or difficulty breathing through the nose), I correct the diaphragm or the niches and this is called “Functional Rhinoplasty (Plastic Nose)”. The technique I follow is characterized by the use of internal grafts, to keep the airways open and minimal incisions, so that there is almost no swelling after surgery.

    Scars

In Rhinoplasty (Nose Plastic) , there are no visible incisions. All incisions are internal and not visible. Even when an external incision is needed in the stylus (the part that separates the two nostrils), this incision is not visible.

    Rhinoplasty (Nose Plastic)

Photos are an integral part of the operation. At each visit they will be taken and used to compare the shape before and after surgery.

    Drugs and smoking

And in Rhinoplasty (Plastic Nose) , as in any surgery, the medical history will be taken. Do not take herbal medicines for about 10 days before surgery or for 3 days after (arnica etc.). Also avoid aspirin (salospir), 7-10 days preoperatively, and anti-inflammatory 3-4 days preoperatively. It is always better if you do not smoke. But if you are a smoker, try to quit smoking for 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery. If you can not quit smoking, you will definitely be able to reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke per day to 5, which will significantly reduce the chances of complications (bruises, bruises, swelling).
