    Possible complications with liposuction

This is a common operation that is very successful for the vast majority of patients. However, as with any procedure, it is very important to understand what can go wrong. Possible complications are listed below.

Scars: The quality of the scars varies between patients.

Skin irregularities / asymmetries: Small areas with asymmetry may be observed. Corrected with local anesthesia.

Altered sensation: Some altered sensation may be observed, but is usually restored during the first month.

Bruises / bruises: Usually minor. They disappear in about 10-15 days.
